A Community of Champions

Canada has the largest coastline in the world. There are pristine beaches and raw natural beauty along every ocean coast, every river bank and every lake shore. Yet, there are also dangers lurking beneath the water's surface and along our coasts. These dangers take many forms - lost fishing gear, marine debris & plastic, discarded pollutants and more.

The Canadian Coastal Champions movement aims to draw attention to these threats to our spectacular shores in all their forms and to highlight the amazing work that is being done by various organizations across the country to mitigate these dangers and protect our spectacular coastal environment.
